NJ Spotlight News: October 14, 2021

The day after the topic of abortion was brought up in the final gubernatorial debate, the Murphy administration announced the state board of medical examiners has adopted a rule change. The rule allows medical professionals who are not physicians to perform surgical abortions.

Thursday, officials announced 1,409 positive cases and 20 new deaths. Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 1,022,658 cases in the state and 27,673 confirmed and probable deaths.
